WHY DO I NEED
this service?

Extraction systems are an essential part of any restaurant or office building. It extracts the smoke generated while cooking in the kitchen – as dictated by various laws and regulations. To ensure that your extraction system is working optimally and in compliance with health codes and regulations, it needs to be cleaned and serviced on a regular basis. A dirty extraction system can be major fire and health hazard – and in the unfortunate event of a fire, your insurance company will only pay out if you have an up-to-date and valid extraction servicing certificate from a trusted supplier like IKCS.

How often should I get my
system serviced?

We recommend that you have your extraction system cleaned every 3 to 6 months – depending on the type and volume of cooking you do. For instance, grill houses and burger joints are considered heavy grilling establishments as the food is high in fat. They will therefore need to get their extraction system serviced around 3 months – whereas office parks and tuckshops can push it closer to 6 months.

Do you adhere to any
particular code of conduct?

Every Industrial Kitchen Cleaning Solutions cleaning team comes with a supervisor (O.H.A.S.A trained) and assistant supervisor, who will ensure that your extraction system is clean, operating efficiently and running at 100% capacity. All kitchen-cleaning projects are conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the South African National Standards S.A.N.S 1850/2014 Edition 2. Please note that the lead-time for this service is 3 to 5 hours.
